About Us
Meet Dr. Keyona Thomas, Psy.D. LCPC, LPC, LCPC
Dr. Thomas graduated with her Bachelor’s of Arts degree from Georgetown University, as well as her Masters in Counseling Psychology and Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from The American School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University. Dr. Thomas is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist, as well as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia. She is also a Board Certified Clinical Supervisor in Maryland.
Dr. Thomas' background includes working with children, adolescents, and adults in various settings (to include federal and state detention facilities, residential substance use disorder treatment facilities, community mental health, and school-based), conducting individual and group therapy; as well as comprehensive psychological and educational evaluations. She has previously served as the Health Services Program Manager for New Beginnings Juvenile Detention Facility under the District of Columbia’s Department of Youth and Rehabilitation Services (DYRS), as well as an adjunct professor at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, Bowie State University, and Trinity Washington University-Washington, D.C. She has been conducting psychoeducational, comprehensive psychological, and clinical evaluations to children and adolescents in area charter schools for the past 15 years. In addition, she has also been conducting parental capacity and parental screening assessments to court ordered individuals involved in the criminal justice and social services systems for the past 15 years.
